Meet Patrick Ramos

Patrick Ramos knows how one teacher can change a life — because he is proof of it. Growing up in the public school system, Patrick was the first in his family to earn a college degree. It was his high school art teacher, Mr. Nardinelli, who saw potential in him before he saw it in himself, helped him get into CSU Sacramento, and sparked a passion that became his career as a graphic designer and licensed drone pilot for a national engineering firm. The two still keep in touch today.

Deep Roots in Dry Creek

Patrick and his wife, Cindy, have lived in the Dry Creek district for over 20 years. Together they raised four children who came up through Dry Creek schools from kindergarten on — all four have since completed four-year degrees through the Cal State and UC systems. Patrick’s younger sister teaches in the Lodi public school district, giving him a perspective that spans both sides of the classroom.

Showing Up for Kids

Patrick’s commitment to kids goes well beyond words. He coaches for the Roseville soccer club, and he and Cindy spent years volunteering directly in their children’s classrooms. Together, they spearheaded an award-winning crossing guard program at the busy corner of PFE and Cook Riolo, making sure Dry Creek kids could get to school safely. Patrick also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children in Placer County, standing up for kids who don’t have anyone else in their corner.

When he’s not volunteering, you’ll find Patrick biking the Dry Creek trails or playing pickleball with family and friends.

Why He’s Running

Patrick is running for Dry Creek Elementary School Board Trustee, Area 1, because he believes every child deserves a safe, welcoming place to thrive — and every teacher deserves the support to do their best work. As trustee, he will champion transparency and open communication with parents, stronger support for teachers, and a voice for every child, especially those without one at home.

For Patrick, it has always been about the kids. He looks forward to making a lasting impact on the future of Dry Creek students.
